Sandia Golf Club located just north of Albuquerque city limits is set to “tee-off” for the first time in more than a month on Wednesday May 13, 2020 at 8:00 am.
According to Stuart Paisano, Governor of the Pueblo of Sandia; “We have taken measures to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team members without compromising the enjoyment of the game on our championship golf course.” Governor Paisano went on to point-out the extensive training in hygiene and sanitation the staff has undertaken.
Governor Paisano said; “Continued awareness and training will be pursued and become a normal function of the Sandia Experience as we become more knowledgeable.”
Other steps employed by the Sandia Golf Club include;
- Park & Play Program: Making the course social distance ready
- Increased Tee Time Spacing (15 Minute Intervals)
- 1 Person per cart (Unless living in same household)
- Eliminating touch points around course (Flags, rakes, trash cans, etc…)
- Guests may not arrive earlier that 20 minutes prior to their tee time
- Frequent cleansing and sanitization of all areas
- Players Assistants patrolling course to ensure social distancing and safety
The Golf Club Grille located in the clubhouse will be open exclusively for take-out orders.
